You know, when we start talking about taking care of a patient's mouth, we really look at things that we call risk factors. And those risk factors play a critical role in how we can restore somebody's mouth. Every person has different areas that they may have problems with. One may have a bite that's too strong. One may have a lot of decay issues. One may have gum problems. And so when we start talking about reconstructing somebody's smile or the function, being comfortable, those are the things that we look at so that no matter what type of treatment we do, we know it's going to last for a long time. What we don't want is somebody to have their teeth fixed and continue with the same risk factors or habits that they've had, so we really work hard at helping patients understand what specific issues are going on in their mouth so that they can kind of be an active participant so that the money that they spend in our practice is going to be money that's well spent and it's going to last a long time. And that's critical for us doing reconstructive dentistry.
